If you're looking for a botanical artist and they're not listed here, this may be because
  • they only have a personal Facebook account (not listed on this site due to variable levels of visibility to the public and should - in any case - ONLY be used in a personal non-business capacity)
  • they have not yet developed a Facebook Page. ​(ALWAYS visible to the public and used for professional / business / marketing purposes)

Every artist promoting their business or products on Facebook needs to have a long hard think about whether and what they need to change to conform with the new rules for Facebook Pages being introduced.

The Facebook Page associated with this website is also called "Botanical Art and Artists" - and often features posts from the Facebook Pages of individual botanical artists. I change the banner images used for the website and Facebook Page each season - at the beginning of March, June, September and December.

Not every artist listed here is also listed on the country pages (which have more strict criteria for listing)

It does not yet include all practicing professional or semi-professional botanical artists with Facebook Pages

Artists are listed under their country in alphabetical order according to the name of their Facebook Page.

​If the artist is not clear from the name of the Page then their name is added afterwards.
Most of the Facebook Pages belong to artists who are professional or semi-professional and practising botanical artists / illustrators and/or tutors. Some use botanical art for commercial art. You can learn a lot about the life of a professional botanical artist by following the activities of those who post frequently.

Some are still students. Their pages typically contain news and images of their latest projects, classes and exhibitions.  ​

The Galleries which choose to feature botanical art are few and far between - so it's nice to see that some also have Facebook Pages. It's such a shame that Kew Gardens does not have a Facebook Page for its two botanical art galleries.
