It's the final few days of the exhibition of Botanical Images Scotia - BISCOT - in Edinburgh.
You can see its second exhibition at the Real Life Science Studio, John Hope Gateway at the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh until Thursday 18th June. The exhibition is open from 10am - 5pm each day and admission is free. Admission is however limited to those aged 8+.

The exhibition had its first outing at the Gardening Scotland Show, at the Royal Highland Showground at Ingliston at the end of May and these images are from that display. Photographs courtesy of Hazel Morris.
Above is South Korean artist Hye Woo Shin who won "Best in Show" for her images of "Seeds of Gymonosperms in Korea - 2" to add to her Best in Shows and Gold Medals from the RHS.
Below is the well-known and respected American botanical artist Margaret Farr ASBA who has work in the Hunt, Shirley Sherwood’s collection and the Smithsonian Museum.
Well known South African botanical artist Dr Auriol Batten has died aged 97.
She contributed enormously to the development of botanical art in South Africa. This included painting 100 watercolour plates for her well-known book Flowers of Southern Africa. 4,000 numbered copies of this book were published in 1986 - which won her a Gold Medal from the RHS. In total she contributed botanical illustrations to nine books.

If you'd like to see an artist painting plants and flowers on vellum, get down to the Annual Exhibition of the Society of Floral Painters at the Oxmarket Centre of Arts in Chichester on Saturday 6th June and you'll find Sarah Morrish doing a demonstration.
