This is Senegal's first year with Botanical Art Worldwide and is more of an exhibition which resonates with the theme than one which has followed the exact prescription of how it is supposed to work
Founded by Soumia Masmoudi in 2019, this initiative was created to support a community of artists working around the concept of sustainability. This year, the Sustainable Art Exhibition will focus on supporting artists in Senegal under the theme "Culture and Botanic Senegal." Organiser:

The exhibition opens at Bogor Botanic Gardens which began as an experimental garden for plantation crops during the Dutch East Indies era. It has since evolved into a vibrant centre for botany, plant conservation, research, environmental education, and tourism in Indonesia. The exhibition then travels to Bentara Budaya in Yogyakarta-Indonesia’s cultural capital-where the dialogue between plants, heritage, and creativity continues.

The word ani, meaning “harvest”, holds a deep meaning to the cultural and natural heritage of the Filipino people. Located in Southeast Asia, the Philippines is one of the magadiverse countries in the world boasting an incredible diversity of plant resources. It is home to more than 10,000 species of vascular plants, half of which are found nowhere else on the planet. While many of the plants used in modern day agriculture in the country were introduced during the global trade in the Pacific, the vast majority of their native wild relatives are still underutilized and often overlooked despite their numerous potential in our food security and their hidden economic value.

Situated at the intersection of two continents, Türkiye is home to three distinct phytogeographical regions, each contributing to its exceptional floral diversity. The country’s unique geological features, diverse soil types, and varying climates create an environment where wild and cultivated plant species thrive side by side. This ecological and agricultural diversity, shaped by thousands of years of human interaction, makes Türkiye a living laboratory for understanding plant adaptation, resilience, and the importance of biodiversity in modern times.

Artists from Germany and Austria were preparing more than a year for the exhibition: They visited farmers and pomologists; they grew vegetables in their gardens or even on their balconies. They researched old crops, observed, and drew their chosen plants, waiting for the special moment that inspired them to create a unique design.
.....Artists from Poland, Slovenia and Switzerland also submitted works.
Organiser: Netzwerk Botanische Kunst (NBK)

Theme: AN FÓMHAR FIÁIN – Ireland’s Wild Food Plants Exhibition
As a signatory to the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture, Ireland has, in 2009, prepared a list of crop wild relatives found on the island. Most of these plants were subsequently included in a book, The Wild Food Plants of Ireland by Tom Curtis and Paul Whelan. This book is our main resource and the artists have been choosing plants from this list. Organiser: Irish Society of Botanical Artists

.....the exhibition will take viewers through a series of works dedicated to the triad that forms the foundation of the milpa: corn, squash, and beans. It will also feature a series of plants or quelites that also grow in this agrosystem and, finally, works that depict other plants, trees, and shrubs that, while not part of the traditional milpa, have grown alongside it and provided seeds, fruits, and roots. Furthermore, the exhibition showcases the milpa, without the technical and scientific rigor of botanical art, through the imagination and inspiration it has awakened in the participating visual artists. |
The most advanced participants of the Colectivo CICYNM in the botanical art courses, professionals and guest artists, will show the diversity of crops in the Mexican "milpa" using a variety of artistic techniques such as graphite, watercolor, acrylic, ink and others.

As stated by the Institute of Environmental Studies (IDEAM in spanish) Colombia ranks among the countries with the highest biodiversity on the planet. Over recent decades, significant efforts have been dedicated to updating and studying the inventory of the rich biological wealth that exists within our borders. As a result, Colombia has become a primary reference for plant diversity....
The exhibition "Colombia: Plants, Flavors, and Traditions" seeks to emphasize the importance of Colombia’s botanical diversity and the traditional knowledge associated with it, while promoting the conservation and sustainable use of our plant life."
Organisers: Antioquia's University Herbaria (HUA) UdeA Herbarium and the scientific illustration Collective Biografos
Exhibition: Colombia: plants, flavors and traditions (Colombia: plantas, sabores y saberes) The exhibition features 24 Colombian illustrators, alongside a Peruvian botanical artist, who have selected plant species from a meticulously curated list of culturally important plants prepared by the organizing committee.

Ecuador is located in one of the main centers of origin for several crops and useful plants. We bring to the public a small sample of the extensive diversity of plant genetic resources in our country and the South American region, and with this, we hope to contribute to the dialogue and raise awareness about the importance of conserving the diversity of ancestral crops and useful plants.
